 WELCOME

The Regina Coin Club was founded in January 1953 to promote the hobby of numismatics and to support its members with their collecting, numismatic research and writing activities. We are one of the oldest and largest coin clubs in western Canada; our membership includes individuals with a wide range of collecting interests, from ancient and modern coins, paper money and scrip, to merchant tokens, trade dollars, medallions, medals, bank memorabilia and all other manner of numismatica. We are always looking for new members and would love to hear from you!

CLUB MEETINGS

The Regina Coin Club holds regular meetings the third Friday of most months (currently January, February, March, May, June, September and November).  Meetings take place at the Regina Senior Citizens' Centre (2404 Elphinstone Street), perched high above the banks of the mighty Wascana River. Here RCC members can get together, swap stories (and coins), show off their latest finds, and generally relax in the company of their fellow collectors.  Each meeting also features a guest speaker, film or other presentation, a show-and-tell session, a special prize draw ("Pandora's Box"), and a members-only floor auction. At the RCC regular meetings the coffee is hot, the discussions lively, and guests are always welcome.

SEMI-ANNUAL COINS SHOWS

The RCC also hosts two weekend coin shows a year: the Spring Show & Sale, typically held the third weekend of April, and the Fall Show & Sale, usually the third weekend of October. The Regina Coin Club has been hosting these shows every year since the 1960s, drawing in collectors, dealers and experts from across western Canada and beyond. In addition to the extensive bourse, many shows feature displays of extremely rare coins, bank notes, medals or other memorabilia of historic importance. RCC members are also encouraged to put in displays for judging at each show; the Roy Miller Award is given to the best display out of all the member submissions at each show, which, along with great prizes, also nets the winner some serious bragging rights at the next club meeting.

CLUB NEWSLETTER

The monthly RCC Newsletter is always packed with club news, announcements, and articles about various subjects of numismatic interest. Many of the articles are written by RCC members, and contributions from new authors are always welcome. RCC members get exclusive access to all back issues of the RCC Newsletter, right back to 1961, for their reading pleasure. Members can also post 3-line adverts for free in the newsletter, or take out larger ads for a nominal fee.

MEMBERS-ONLY AUCTIONS

Each monthly club meeting features a live floor auction, where members can auction off items they don't want or bid on those 'too good to pass up' deals. The auction is limited to members only, and only bids from the floor are accepted (i.e., no phone-in or proxy bids). The club does not collect commission on any sales or charge any buyer's premiums, making the RCC member auctions the ideal place to buy and sell.

EXCLUSIVE MEMBER ADVERTISING

RCC members can advertise their want-lists or items for sale in the 'members only' section of this website, as well as through free 3-line adverts in the club's monthly newsletter. Let the RCC get the word out on all your numismatic needs!
